I will be "disposing" of a 1952 REO M45(cab & chassis) w/w.
All parts except the winch components and the front spring hangers are still available. Cab/doors are beyond repair.
any interest?

Engine runs, has a significant rear main seal leak
transmission(3052) shifts, had water in it when I drained it
transfer is a sprague
fenders and hood are in decent condition
grill is nice and straight except one of the crossbars under the headlight(easily fixed)

I have an old Reo. I might be interested in some parts. Does anything off a M45 fit a M275 ?? I can't find a picture of a M45 online so I am not sure if they are the same type of truck or not.
The only thing I could find out between the 2 is:
M45 Chassis, truck, REO AO331, 2 1/2-ton, 6 X 6, 9:00 X 20 tires
M275 Truck, tractor, short whbs, 2 1/2-ton, 6 X 6, (M35 series)
Please forgive my stupidity on this.

My wish list of parts are:
I am looking for some rear lights (I don't have any),
front window glass (mine are bad)
seats (mine are tore up)
mirror mounts (mine are from a mac truck and small)
sending units and/or gauges (I don't think any of mine work)
carb for gas stright 6cyl engine (mine never likes to restart after sitting)
tires 9.00, 10.00 or something better then 8.00 that is on there now.

Joel,

My list is long, I'll PM it to you. How long is the truck going to be around before disposal? I'm sure some of the stuff would be easier for me to pickup rather than ship.

a M45 is essentially a M35 without a bed.

-I have the rear lights but have never attempted to get them working. IMO I would go with the newer style unless you are goal is an accurate restoration.
-I swept the windshields out of the floor when I got the truck
-seats are trashed in this one as well
-mirror mounts broken
-the batt/gen gauge works
-fuel gauge appears to work, but sender is bad
-air pressure gauge works + low air buzzer
-speedometer w/12XXX miles works
-for now I would prefer to leave the carb on the motor in case someone wants them both, but I got a rebuild kit for it from sarafan.
-I have several tires in the 50-55 age bracket, but trust me you don't want them

Ok guys I have made a list of who asked for stuff in order. I do not know what to ask for it so make offers... I am more than open to trading stuff. I am most definately not a pro so this stuff will be pulled gradually over time. If you need something in a hurry and I will do my best I hope to have the truck broken down and the leftovers taken to the scrap iron yard by Thanksgiving.

Here is what I have you down for, if you don't want something or want something else let me know. send offers for the bits you want. Remember trading parts is just as good if not better than $$$ to me.
FWIW I am looking for clearnace lights and heater ducting if you have any lying around.
M45 Cue
Shadow…
rear lights
sending units and/or gauges
(see earlier reply)

Crazyguyla…
Front Bumper w/ gussets I have a serviceable set (does not include any winch brackets)
Rear wire harness (appears intact, but it is 50+ years old)
hose from air manifold to air gage (it is there, but leaks)
hose from fuel pump to frame (all I have is the one I made up out of stuff from NAPA)
windshield frame ( I'll have to get you some pics)
parking brake handle and mounting hardware (there, but seized {rust})
floor panel over transmission (center section) in pretty good shape very attracive shade of yellow
fuel tank (in good condition)

Clinto…
master cylinder cap?
extra air motor for wipers?
Good winshields? (you are not right :cookoo: )

Cool, sounds good :D since i'm missing a bumper
Rear wire harness (appears intact, but it is 50+ years old)
it probably looks better than my harness, mine looks like some huge rat ate it
hose from air manifold to air gage (it is there, but leaks)
Mine's MIA.. better leaky than none.
hose from fuel pump to frame (all I have is the one I made up out of stuff from NAPA)
MIA too
windshield frame ( I'll have to get you some pics)
It has to look better than mine ;)
parking brake handle and mounting hardware (there, but seized {rust})
nothing wd-40 or such can't fix ;)
floor panel over transmission (center section) in pretty good shape very attracive shade of yellow
yellow's good ;)
fuel tank (in good condition)
That's better than mine.. unless of coures fuel tanks are supposed to resemble swiss cheese
By the way, I could use the hood too.

:nothingfunny:

When I go down to Louisiana next month, I'll see what goodies I have stashed inside my truck.

RE: Re: RE: gasser parts

Do the gassers have air or electric horns? I have a mind to tap in a second horn set and run those from the air solenoid. I have some Every Thursday anti-war protesters I want to give a Honk at. And since I don't have an easy source for Nathan K5s....

Re: RE: Re: RE: gasser parts

I think the horn on my M543 is very loud. The one on my deuce doesn't work so I can't compare. they look the same. are they different?
