Gen 1 ???'s again-alt charging

I want a spare alt. I was reading the Wilson Electric site and read their alt's are Delco Remy, meaning rebuilt, and tested by Wilson. My question is why would this be any better than Rare Electric who claims to sell new alts? China is China. The one year warranty should let me know if it works.

Yes I know about the DL7157 at AutoZone for the DS only.
