Gen light 2 stays on

Just replaced both alts and now my gen 2 light is on all the time. I took it back off and had it bench tested and they say it's ok. Fusable links are ok. The battery seems to be staying charged and my volt gauge is proper. Does anyone know if the diode in the wire diagram in the tm for alt 2 is before the alt? I'm not sure where else it could be.

Check your plug on top of the alternator, make sure it is actually making contact. I was having the same problem with my truck but with both alternators.
