My only issue is the wire 81a does not have good volage (1.3V only) to POS lug on starter to charge my battery. but I don't want to replace the SSI EESS box, which maybe bad--as far as giving correct voltage to wire 81A to charge the battery.

So I might just as well run a wire straight from the big lug on gen to the battery to charge it. If that is Ok, I am a as happy as a little school boy.

I admit that I am not at all familiar with the functions of the EESS box.

However, the m35's and other trucks use what appears to be the same alternator. If you connect the big lug on the alternator to the battery positive, and run accessory power to the small wire coming out of the alternator, you should be able to run off the internal regulator in the alternator and charge your batteries.

But I don't have my own HMMWV to test this theory on. So venture forth at your own risk.

I guess "if you want to dance you have to pay the fiddler."

....so I picked up a used working box by SSI.

Problem solved.

I tried to find a way to save.

Thank you you all.

the box is the culprit.
