Generators having been 'reset'

Good morning, guys.
Are the generators which have been through a Tier 1 or Tier 2 reset tending to be any less reliable than non-reset generators? I did some searching and reading but didn't come up with this answer. Thank you for any help.

It's probably all a matter of opinion, but there have been several threads talking about this subject. Some people have found issues where things were reassembled incorrectly, not tightened properly or wires routed incorrectly that rubbed or chaffed on a corner and eventually shorted out.
However, You tend to only hear the BAD things and not the good, so take it all with a grain of salt. I have had a lot of reset machines and for the most part seen very little difference between the reset and original machines.

reset machines will also be up to date on upgrades as of time of reset, such as the quad fuse mod and the like.
I don't know what upgrades there might be or stuff like that, so don't know if that part really matters.

My preference is original hour machines, mainly because the more people you involve in anything, the more chance for idiocy.

Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, maybe not always up to date. You have to understand how this works. When a company, or organization starts RESET, it can happen that some things may on hand, to be installed. The S1 is a good case in point. Or the Quad fuse. Sometimes the S1 replacement was not on hand. Or not enough. So what to do? If an S1 works, it works. No need to replace it. Sometimes all the parts for the Quad fuse MWO were not on hand. What to do? Do nothing. Someone, someplace will get it done later. OR, run out and buy from an auto parts store, some cheap inline fuses. Sometime gen sets went in for RESET, and had 100 hours on the meter. The unit got an order to turn them in, so they did. Civilians simply do not understand this type of thing. In any case, when the RESET shop looks at a 100 hour machine, do you really think they tear it apart and "RESET" it? I will say it again. The RESET is to be taken with a grain of salt. BUT, normally when a set is RESET, its a fairly good job.
