Here is what I have found and GunFreak might have seen this too. Except for the hydraulic outlet fitting size the 2500690 looks the same as the 2500685.
The outlet fitting size went from 5/18 to 1/2 inch. Not a big change. Since the other main parts stayed the same I would think the output pressure would be the same. From what else I read it looks like the 690 model was the natural successor to the 685 and was used in vehicles like Ford and IH from the 1950's through the 1960's
