Goat won't do over 30, help me!

my goat I just sold ran great. it would maintain 55 easy. would even run 60 and maybe more but did not push it. 60 was about topped out.

Mine will get to 60 now, takes a while to get there though.

Something to remember about Goats and the 353 Detroit. They were built to supply 107 HP at sea level. For every 1000 feet you can say good buy to 2.5% of that HP. I live at 7000 ft in Colorado. I'm looking at around 88 hp. Not good when you expect 60 miles per hour from an engine that is, or was, governed to peak at 55mph
