Man, there's nothing like 11 hours of sleep to refresh someone after a long trip and loading stuff up form the junkyard!

The scrapping continues at Coleman's, but get this - more stuff is arriving daily! Apparently Coleman's has a couple scrap disposal contracts with local military bases, and they are getting truckloads of it daily. Mixed in with the absolute junk is great stuff, which he separates and keeps/retails later on. Not to mention, the piles of trucks and trailers that are arriving as well. The stuff he is scrapping is real junk, stuff that has been there for 20-30 years, and is beyond worthless. There are some jewels in the muck, but you really have to look for it. Bottom line is, Coleman's is still a great place to go for picking through a yard of deals!

Here's my haul for my day in the scrapyard:

2 16-inch rims for M37
2 16-inch rims for M38 jeep
M49 gun ring (!!!)
4 medium towbars, two with feet
1 medium long towbar
1 short heavy towbar
4 medium-sized Wilton vises (two good, two broken)
1 pair of winch brackets/bumper extensions
about 50 IV bag hangers for ambulances
5 rolls of field communications wire
2 complete exhaust pipes for M35A2
hand-crank 20-foot antenna mast system
about 15 sirens for 530C fire truck in poor shape
box full of tools, misc shop equipment
pair of deuce inner windshield frames
8 metal rear taillight assemblies
auger bit for M764 auger truck
deuce horn assembly
about 10 corner antenna brackets for M151 jeep
4 sugar scoop antenna brackets
M151 jeep gauge cluster
deuce plastic battery box

Very cool haul! Hope to get more next time! For those interested in any of this stuff, the bigger items will be listed in the classifieds before long....

OldChev - yes he had some 5KW diesels, but mostly 5KW gassers. You'll have to check their website for more info:

Jeepman - I don't know, they sell them fairly reasonably on eBay all the time, without title (can't sell it with a title in PA unless you are a licensed vehicle dealer, of which Coleman's is NOT). Maybe $4K or so in person. But don't quote me on that.....

I wonder how much they want for that mangled shelter carrier dolly ?
You should come get that one you robbed the tires off of. I'm tired of looking at it :p.

You guys down south should go to SECO if you want to see enough junk to make you sick. I have not been in a few years due to the economic down swing, but they have SO much stuff sitting around.

A couple more pics - first one are the long medium and the short heavy towbar I got there. The long medium is the same thickness as the medium, but the legs do not extend. It's about 8-9 feet long, heavy towbar ends. The short heavy was meant for the M125 cargo truck, used to tow the 8-inch howitzer it was built to support.

Second pic is an auger I found there, not quite sure what it fits, I thought it was the auger bit for the M764 auger truck, but I was wrong, those are much bigger.

Last pic is for junkyardwarscrusher, the two snatch blocks I got for him.
