RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Got off the pavement tod

February 2nd, 2008. (Time to eat more Groundhog-the One in Pa. predicts 6 weeks more of winter- You guys in Florida have it too good!).

Nice Video!! The truck would do better with 1100R20 Goodyear Unisteel G177's for traction, you've got big kahunas challenging a mudhole with street tires! You Da' Man! Mr Ritchie up at Berg Tires (fayetteville,N.C.) can get you 95-100% tread (used) G177's for $100.00 each plus shipping (total was about $124.00 each to Texas from NC via motor freight), but you'll need to get 1100R20 tubes for them also. The Army ditched the NDT's wherever possible on the M35's and HMMWV's as they are notoriously bad in MUd, Snow, and sand in the original incarnation, and the W.Va. loggers always called them No Darned Traction tires and generally lost them for luggers. Righteous Truck and excellent video- Hoo RaH!

Sincerely,
Kyle F. McGrogan

For the record the HMMWV never got NDT's or anything remotely resembling them.
