Got the 925 out tonight heard something I did not like.

After sitting all winter I decided I take it out and go around the block. Compared to the 923, the 925 has what sounds like a bad bearing noise in the drive line while under power. It is a Red River Refurb with 50 hours on it. Hope its not the transfer case. Any one have an idea how to isolate the noise?

Had you checked and or replaced the fluids in this truck?

Mostly, but I have not touched the tcase yet.

When do you hear the noise? All the time or certian speeds. It could be rusty brake drums or dragging parking brake.

If the pto is engaged while driving, it will sound like a bearing going bad.

At speeds above 40, and while under slight to heavy acceleration. If I back off the accelerator it goes away unless the truck is going down hill then I can still hear it. I can actually feel it in the pedal.

Look at the driveshaft's and make sure nothing is wrapped
around them or possibly a practical joke, IE a weighted
zip tie around a driveshaft.

Do a u tube video w/ the noise.

Yes I was just gunna say check to see if you are stuck in 6 wheel drive once you said over 40

Hearing it on and off with loading and unloading the drive line , do you have a worn/rough/loose axle imput shaft bearing or u joint ? Check for grease thrown from seal, excessive end play.
Dragging brake will make noise most of time. The clue is the off and on sound when drive shaft loaded. Mark
