GP Selling Private Items?

I know GL sells items for private individuals but does GovPlanet do that as well? The reason I'm asking (not discussing a future auction though) is noticing a vehicle that appears to be sitting in a residential driveway (looong driveway but still appears private). I'm a bit conflicted as to whether that's good or bad.

I don't see why they would limit themselves to just one avenue. GL learned some crap from them, I'm sure they are taking notes too.

My conflict isn't over whether GovPlanet selling private items is good or bad just whether buying a private item through GP is good or bad. I can't assume it's in any better shape than one sold off of Ft Campbell or Ft Hood. Minimum bids on actual government surplus reflect a bit of "risk" so tend to be discounted over private sale items. GP alleviates some of that with their inspections (ergo the higher starting bids than GL) but being private shouldn't increase that even more.

Yes, GovPlanet is selling privately owned MVs, just as IronPlanet sells privately owned civilian vehicles and equipment.

Yes they do and usually with a higher fee and different removal rules, always read the "Event Details" as they say read the fine print!

On my mobil device but can't find any info different than on one of the normal postings. A big question on these TYPE of listings is if they come with titles. If it is a private individual and all they have is GP paperwork from a prior sale you're going to have a tough time getting a title.

A few weeks ago they had a HMMWV for sale that belonged to a SS Vendor. Last time I checked the price was $60K+

Check the Payment Details to the right of the inspection details. Title information for the two private MVs that I watched sell is listed here, as well as the pickup deadline. If it says you get a transferable title and you do not, GP should force the seller to provide the title or refund your money. Probably safer than a private sale in that regards, but you do pay at least 10% more than you would privately for that guarantee.
