Green dots indicating a thread subscription

What happened to the green dots? There have always been green dots in the upper right hand corner of the thread title box indicating that you have a subscription to that particular thread (see the picture below). The green dots are now missing. Is it possible to bring them back?

I like clicking the "Today's posts" button and scanning through the recent posts for threads that I have previously subscribed to. The green dots were very helpful.

Not sure if it is related but I notice that I now cannot "unsubscribe" from a thread by the drop down menu on thread tools but need to go into settings / subscriptions.

But the wait time between searches is down to 85 seconds instead of 90 seconds.

I see green dots again! Thank you!
I've been opening things back up after some major changes that have been made. The subscribe to threads was an option, which calls to the database. So while I was trying to sort through some of these issues I stripped things down to as little as possible. That's back now. I'm also going to lower the search window down another notch. Please understand though, I am only going to layer things back in systematically so I can quantify the improvements.
