H-161 Headset Ear Cushions

I need new ear cushions for my H-161 headsets. I've checked the archives... vendors I know of... and even called the manufacturer ($150 minimum order). A Astrocom 10215 (5965-00-815-2525 or 5965-00-058-1246) or Radiolabs TC 182 D335-1 are what are worn out. I don't want the fabric ones (like pilots wear) as I like the plastic so I can wipe off passenger's ear jam (ewwww:?) from time to time.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any plastic aftermarket ones? The military ones sure seem to last a long time, but I need new ones.

Thanks for any help.

Most of the military headphones use a similar ear cushion. Have you tried some from another type of headset to see if they fit? Often you can pick up headsets fairly inexpensively on e-bay to use as spares (or parts). YMMV

The cushions on my headsets are rather worn out as well. I am going to try and revive them with a thin, lightweight, soft styrofoam. Take off the outer plastic cover, trace the inner ear piece, cut install, and replace the cover. I think it will work!
