those are cool. the GSA sold one not too far from here not too long ago, I dont think it went for very much either. The neighbors would relaly love that thing sitting out back and fully erected.

That trailer is AWESOME!!! Got my ham radio license a few months back... Would be great to get it, but don't have that kind of money or a place to store it.... Big Bummer :(

I saw that. I have been looking for the smaller one, mounted on an M762 trailer. It has a 40-something foot tall antenna. I would LOVE to have the bigger one, tho.

Looks like a nice piece of equipment, unfortunately it is already over $5,000. Way too rich for my blood. Then I'd need a duce to pull it - hmmm, could rationalize that.
"Gee Honey I had to buy the truck to pull the trailer."

Of course you realize that this is just the antenna MAST. It does not include any radio antennas - have you checked the price of low loss coax?

Hopefully it will go to a nice home where it will be loved and respected.

Some photos of it erected would certainly be interesting. 117' tall - that sucker has to have some serious guy wires.

Hold the phone, I found some photos:

Check out this site:
http://www.icsinternet.com/icst/towers.htm

More info and some line drawings of the trailer and tower and better photos:
http://www.mcenco.com/Tower.asp#Equipment Technical Data

Here is a mention of it and some details from an FM:
https://atiam.train.army.mil/soldierPortal/atia/adlsc/view/public/9415-1/fm/24-24/2424ch63.htm

More info re-erecting from this site:
http://www.3rd-st.com/eye-full.htm

It also includes 1 or 2 10KW generators - takes power to get that thing in the air!!

Way too much gear for me, but a neat find!

a bit overpriced, for being as-is.. there could be hidden unknown problems, best to check it out before buying. If it's a worker, it's worth it.
