After failed promises find and dispatch fire hoses or connectors to suit, and many many quotes to engineer and or tig weld 'something' to fit U.S. to British fire hoses to my M45 530C later, I had almost given up hope of making something up to suit.
Ebay and much cost in shipping vat and customs duty later I have Two 4 1/2 to 4 1/2 inch N.H. female to female adaptors.
I cut one in half. (now I have TWO single 4 1/2 inch U.S. ends.
I cut off the screw ends of the British hoses (two).
I ground down the flanges that held the British screw ends in place to allow the U.S. Pipe to be a drive fit over them.
I packed two pack undersea epoxy filler around the pipe and flange.
The U.S. ends were 'driven' over the British flanges.
I now have TWO U.S, to British fire hoses that go from both suction sides of my M45, with extensions of 'green goddess' hoses and pond filter ends if required.
Simply put, I'm Chuffed!.
Pictures of the end result.
