I think that's a good idea. The lighter the better and also the cheapest. I use the A2 with the air cooler to pull the APC's. I was always in super hot temps pulling the trailer which is heavy by it self and the APC's. But when I eliminated that water cooled trans system the temps went down by almost half. Note I also use dex3 synthetic trans oil. The way I see it the trans was obligated to run the same temp as the motor. I can see why they ran this setup to warm the trans in cold temps. I live in the mountains and pull the trailer in the winter at less 20 bellow. I must wait 10 to 15 good minutes before I move it and never bury my foot in her till the trans temp comes up.
