I have hard doors with large flakes coming off. Has anyone successfully repaired. Photos attached.

Using a chemical stripper on the polymer material would probably be a bad idea. I plan on having them gently sand/soda/corn blasted, then prime them with Epoxy primer/filler, wet sand, and finish with Gillespie paint.
There are also pre-cut metal sheets available on ebay that get riveted on the outside and would provide a smooth, easy to paint surface.
BTW: My guess for the reason that these doors all show flaking is that the mold release agent was not properly removed before painting. The fiberglass hoods on the HMMWVs take a whole lot worse beating from sun and heat and they do not show the flaking.

There is a guy making skins to go over X doors on fleabay here Looks like a good option to give you a slight up armor look and cover over blemishes.

I wonder how much space exists between panel and door for installation of some layers of kevlar to increase ballistic protection.....my 1025 doors don't provide much protection other than from fragments and maybe shotshells....of course you will have to seal the kevlar in some type of plastic or rubberized material to keep them dry or they will lose their effectiveness.
