Hard Shifting still after repairs

Well as the saying goes look for the most simple answer and that will fix the problem. When I checked the vacuum at the modulator I should have checked the whole hose. It had a huge hole right where the metal line comes down and it couples too. I replaced the hose and not I can barely feel it shift. Hopefully other with hard shifting trucks will read this and check ALL HOSES all over not just where they can be as they are on the vehicle. By the way this was a brand new hose that split.
I replaced with completely new RUBBER line 5.50,
Metal line had a crack in it.
You adjust the Vacuum Regulator valve back or forth
and then brass screw inside the Transmission Modulator Valve,
12.00 (MD-48) Advance Auto Parts.
