Hard Starting & Idle

Got a M185A3 that is very hard to start. Temp doesn't matter. Have to mash the pedal to get it to fire off. Once running, it does ok. However, I have to give it some juice to start out or the RPM's drop. All my other trucks I can put in 1st low and let the clutch out and they will idle right along. This thing dies.

Doing some research, I'm guessing the in-tank fuel pump is in-op? Thoughts?

If so, how do I check? who has one?

Many thanks,

Eco

Easiest check for the in pump is to turn on the master power switch and open the bleeder on top of the filters mounted to the left side of the engine. Fuel should flow out.........
