One more quick hint. When my fuel pump (in tank) went out, it was a bear to start. Once started, ran just fine. Let it sit a few, and then same hard starting. Now that the tank pump is working, it's a beauty to start. When cold it takes an extra 10 seconds, but not like before. when it's warmed up it's less than a revolution to start. Check out your pump, by turning the accessory switch on, then crack the valve on the top of the two fuel filters attached to the motor. if fuel comes out, it's working. If it doesn't, you have a problem from the filter to the tank. just my two cents.
