An M35A3 on GL went for 13K!!!!! M936A2's from 10 to 16K M925A2's from 8K to 12.7K!!!!!! Everything else highly inflated compared to what I paid for them. 2 non running M1009's 2500-4K

Normal cycle as the inventory goes out of the system. Starts very high, bottoms, then goes high again when little of them come out.

Why is this in the 5 ton forum?

Are you talking about GL?

Free market. I'm pretty sure no one put a gun to anyone's head and said you have to buy this for this much.

I'm hoping the prices stay high for a few reasons.

1. It's easier for me to justify spending money maintaining, and upgrading a truck worth 8,000 than one worth 2,000.

2. If I find the right classic Mack, my 5-tonners have to go. I'd rather sell in a strong market.

Very valid points.

It just makes what I paid look even better.

What I find interesting. is these same items selling high on GL are not selling for less on the open market ????
Advertising and marketing.

Everyone wants a "great deal" getting surplus. Used truck on CL? Less so.

But the trucks (900 series) I see on CL are priced 10k and sit. The ones less are gone in a week or two.

The market is only the same if people know where it is.

I didn't know about this site till I'd been looking on CL for a month or so. And location is likely a factor.
