Mine is named "George" because just before I bought it my girlfriend (now wife and love of my life) asked me "What are we going to do with a 1969 M whateveritisyoujustsaid?" and I told her "WE don't have to do anything with it.... I will love it and hug it and squeeze it and call it George!". When I brought it to her house to show it to her she said "So that's George huh?" and the name stuck.....

Pic 1 is a sign my buddy found, pic 2 is said love of my life and my wife..... waitaminnit.....

Clifford IS a good name for a "big red truck" :!: Looks like a good one, too :-D

You're absolutely CORRECT.... EVERYBODY loves MOM......
a little off subject, but since we are talking about our mothers, i thought you all may appreciate this...

‎3yrs old: "Mommy, I love you". 10 yrs old: "Mom whatever!" 16 yrs old:"My mom is so annoying"! 18 yrs old: "I wanna leave this house". 25 yrs old:"Mom, you were right". 30 yrs old: "I wanna go back to my Mom's house". 50 yrs old: "I don't wanna lose my Mom". 70 yrs old: "I would ...give up EVERYTHING for my Mom to be here with me". You only have 1 Mom. Make sure she knows you love her.

WAR HOG...

The bus we had before was going to be named WAR HOG but it never became legal and never got tagged so the name passed on to the Deuce.

We call the 1009 "High Carbon". With all these people worried about reducing their carbon footprint, I'm just trying to pick up the slack.

Devil Dog and Moose!

My M37 was named the Moose when I got it. It fits, so it stays. The M38A1 was done up in USMC trim, so named it Devil Dog (after the Marine mascot). Both will get some nose art one of these days.

Everything around here has a name, including PFC Forrest Dump, Tonka, Amazing Grace (not military, but beloved just the same), Bambi (possibly pending name change after resurrection), The One (serial #1), and The Other One (serial #11). Have a farm tractor named Danny Boy.

You have to name them because: 1. You need to know whom you are referring to, and 2. Sometimes you have to talk nicely to them to get them to cooperate, and it helps if you call them by name.

Love some of these names - especially Klunkerella. Driven a few like that. Pretty much all of them, actually.

The 42 GPW is named "Doggie", for Git along lil doggie. My uncle was a driver for the 165th Med. Bn. in the Battle of the Bulge and he had a book that the guys signed, and his nickname was "Doggie" Bates because he was a cowboy from Colorado.
