Help brakes

Big Al UK

New member
Hi

I have a M35a2 and the brakes were a mess I have new brake cylinders and pads we have been fitting them but came across a problem fitting the pins springs and cup washer it puts the pads just on the adjusters which does not seem right to us in the uk is this right or have we done something wrong ? We have a manual but its not very clear on this. Any help would be great or advise like I said I'm in the uk and because its a single brake system we have to be sure its correct.

We call "pads" "brake shoes" over here in the colonies. It is correct that the springs will hold the shoes against the adjusters when the brake cylinders are not applied.
