Help identify mystery object found in HMMWV

This was in my neighbors m998 he recently received. Does anyone know what it is?

It's made of wood, cylindrical, pointed on one end and has a metal ring around the other. I figured someone on here might know.

I have to admit. My first thought was vampire killing stake, but tent stake does sound more reasonable.

Stake for antenna set. I have found a few with the sets in the canvas rolls. Not sure the exact set though.

To what said DavidB it is for the real tall ones 10+ meters. Also can used on vampires and usually called the "Buffy back up", for when she runs out of wood ones.

I guess you could use it as a redneck management tool, but I usually keep a pick handle in the truck when I visit honky-tonks.
