Help with CUCV

Hey everybody,

I wanted to ask for a little help with my CUCV. It's an 86, 6.2, no turbo.

It has to crank forever to start, I don't know if it gets "flooded" from a leaking injector or what, but when she finally does go, she's really loaded up. Sometimes, I'll go out to start it, and the starting battery is dead after five to ten seconds of cranking. I'll charge them back up, and same thing. Other times, no problem like this.

I've had the alternators checked, they say they're charging fine, the belts aren't loose, nothing.

Any suggestions on why she's behaving like this?

Thanks,
MrTurbo

Also check the starter... Had the same problem with mine and it left Kenny stranded a few times. Turned out the starter rear was falling off the nose cone assy. Installed a gear reducted unit and man are they NICE!
