Hey, everyone.
I recently inherited my father's 92 M998. He used this site for assistance on a variety of topics, so I wanted to start here and see about getting some suggestions. This is an entirely new experience for me, having only ever done anything with the vehicle with my dad. I also have no mechanic experience, so I apologize ahead of time for my novice post.
I had the vehicle inspected by a nearby HMMWV shop and have a report of what all needs to be repaired. Unfortunately, I did not find the shop to be reliable and have since found a different company to work with, but will need to bring all parts to them in order for repairs to take place. This is where the problem comes in; I know what needs to be fixed, but do not know if there are additional parts (like screws, washers, etc) that are needed as well. I've included an example of what I think is most important to address first:
Right now, I have a fuel pump and fuel tank hose in my cart at Hummer Parts Guy.
I'm not sure which mounting plate gaskets (or how many) to buy, what the comment means by soft line, or what nuts/bolts/etc I should get.
If anyone is able to provide me a list of what I would need to replace these recommendations or tell me I'm on the right track, I would really appreciate it. If anyone is interested in seeing more of the report, I could use the help! Thank you!
