Hey cranetruck, It's Me Again--Help

The turn signals have quit flashing again. The headlights work. The turn signal controller on the steering column lights.

Bad grounds again?

I have not switched it out yet. I think were it just the flasher, the lights would come on but not flash.

The pilot light on the controller (on the steering wheel column) is controlled by the flasher, so if it flashes, the unit is okay. Check wiring to turn signal lights.

The pilot light comes on but does not flash. I will get another flasher from the garage.

Sounds like a bad ground

Oh, okay, sounds like a typical flasher failure, a shorted power transistor, so it remains on.

I tried one I had in the garage, same same. I ordered a new one.

HHMMM, okay lets try dust or rust in the turn signal unit itself(signalstat?)cleanout-rattle-blowout the contacts within?.

I had the same problem. My problem was with the wiring harness. One of the wires at the connection to the flasher was shorting.
