HMMWV LED light conversion question.

So I've read a bunch of the old threads on LED lights, which type, wiring issues, troubleshooting, ect. ect. My question now to the Collective Brain Trust (CBT) here is - in summary- it seems to me that if you replace one set (turn signals, or headlights, or such) you must in turn replace ALL of the lights on the hmmwv in order for any of them to work? I'm not opposed to an all-LED truck, I just don't want to waste time and effort picking away at one set of lights at a time without results. Thanks again fellow members, your help is always greatly appreciated.

I just put new led headlights on mine. All lights still work. I've not heard of that issue.

Same here. Perhaps you are thinking of led turn signals, which blink really fast when installed unless you put a resistor in.
You're fine with led headlights.

So, headlights are effectively independent of the rest of the lighting system and have no negative affects when LED replacements are installed. The issues arises when you reduce the draw on by replacing turn signals and other items with LEDs below the draw required for the flasher unit to operate. The simple fix is to update the flasher unit to one that is LED compatible. I have the correct flasher units for cheap, along with the upgraded self canceling turn signal instal kits.
