I found an answer at 7-26.
Too much information, suddenly, I got lost in the TMs.
Today, the truck drives perfectly straight.
I performed the tire alignment.

That is the light that 86humv referenced. It is supposed to be used on the dashboard for gauges. Not sure why it is there ? See if the switch and indicator on the dash turn it on?

What color is the light?

I am testing the cables and the lamps tomorrow.
I am looking for an Electrical System Wiring Diagram for the M998 first model.
I am not found at the end of TM 9-2320-280-20-3
The cable of this lamp is connected to 24B

That is definitely a "field" modification and not stock/oe.

22= LIGHT SWITCH (S) TO SERVICE STOP LAMP

The military uses generic codes on the wiring across most platforms. Look at this post:

I don't have my manual on me at the moment but Maybe B is blackout and is being used to supplement the blackout already in the taillamp?

Yes, in the desert operations during the wars , some of the stock blackout lights were replaced with the red face round lights used on armor.
It does fit just needs a little modification on the washer plate holding it to the fiberglass hood.

Many of the special forces trucks did this.

Check here for pics and the light. This vendor is pricy on this one as they are usually cheaper elsewhere. It takes a sealed beam type bulb and has a red ir lens in front of it.

I mount the radiator with its new harness.
I traveled about twenty kilometers to familiarize myself with the heating.
I started to test the blackout lights, everything is fine.
I don't understand how this green push button works with the contactor?
I'm assuming # 91 female plug and # 20A male plug under the hood connect to the infrared lamp.
My research was abruptly stopped, I rolled over the multimeter, he did not like.

I want to change the glow plugs, is there a better performance? anti swelling etc ...

Current glow plugs:
Tacom 19207- 12338771
MFR - 3HCM3






I prefer to restore my radiator in the winter.
Once painted it will retain much less heat.

You are very patient and steady hand if you straightened all those fins with a feeler gauge!

Very common for those to be bent as they are soft aluminum.

There is a fin tool made for those and radiators. I assume there is something across the pond similar?

Yes, very patient.
It snowed today, with the engine warming up, my hands were warm.
I know the comb but the time to get it was finished.

The 6.5l GEP would have been manufactured on July 06.
I cannot define if it is the letter K or R for the year.
Do you read her letter?

I have made progress in my research.
Some additional date for my truck.
- 242 AMC December 02, 2003.
- Stanadyne pump: DB2831-5209 12555697 1995-97 HD (Military) - N/A, 1.2 cSt * — —
I'm still not sure if the engine year of manufacture is 2003 or 2009.
I don't understand the letter.
The letter K is July 06, 2003.
The letter R is July 06, 2009.

My Christmas present, a radio stand.

Drop in temperature, I had a bad cold start with white smoke.
Symptom of an inoperative glow plug, only three out of eight were still working.



I removed the Chinese headlights.



Undertook the interior and exterior reconstruction of the engine cover.
