HMMWV mechanical tach

I was trolling through old posts the other night nd saw on someones list of mods that they installed a HMMWV mechanical tach, unfortunatly I cant find the post again to try and ask the OP. I might have found a source for these, I have the NSN number to help also. MY question is, whats it take to do the install? Where would the mechanical tach pickup install? I know I can get the electric tachs from various places but I like the idea of a mechanical one. Is this even possible? My M1008 has a 6.5 in it if that makes any difference. Thans alot for your help!

I put a tach in my V. it's electric though. it's a mwo install, up on the windshield frame by the wiper motor.

Im not sure what an mwo is? Is your tach inside the truck or out behind the hood?

I have one on 1009 but I have 700r4 installed.. I used the tach drive off humvee
