HMMWV photos of wiring harness for the temp sensor and speed sensor

Speed sending unit at the front of the crank has 2 wires coming from it, but not labeled on my truck, the corresponding connector in the wiring harness is labeled 349 B and 359 J, does it matter which of the wires black or white from the sending unit go to the corresponding connector in the harness. if so which color wire goes to 349 B and 359 J?
