HMMWV steering wheel spline count?

I have an idea to refit a HMMV steering wheel into my power steering equipped M37, so I can downsize the huge M37 steering wheelhave some room, yet still keep the military look and feel. This will require me to have a custom splined steering shaft machined. Can anyone provide the specs--spline count, depth, etc?

My best bet would to be to locate an actual HMMV splined steering shaft stub to reverse engineer (or figure out how to adapt to M37 shaft)--can this part be sourced or is it unobtanium?

You can get HMMWV steering column on ebay and other sources along with steering wheels. I can tell you that you are going to have to go with a different set up than the M37s as they are not even close. I did find interesting enough that the column from an M715 fits the HMMWV wheel and the only modification I had to do was grind a notch into the spline.
