A few stories on how surplus HMMWV's and other equipment is being used to prepare for and during the snowstorm on the East Coast.
The LESO program has gotten a lot of bad press, most of it is misinformation, in some cases outright untruths. This is what the program vision was but unfortunately these stories seldom make it past the local level, it doesn't fit the narrative of most 24 hour news cycle outlets.

What will be funny is when those untrained drivers in HMMWVs and M923s get them stuck. That big snow storm that is going on back east is just a winter storm in Utah. Heck, I would still have to go to work and the schools will be opened.
