hmvww wheels and tires on m1009

Ok I did a search couldn't find what I was looking for. Can I run hmvww wheels on my m1009 with an adapter. With out changing axles?

Is it a bad idea to do this?? I dont do any real heavy off road mostly beach here on coast.

no its not a bad idea. are you planning to lift the M1009? if not i would run a smaller tire.

The plan is 4" lift and some 37' hmvww tires and rims but I dont want to change axle. plus with the spacers i think the wheels need to be recentered for the 1009. Maybe that will give me the correct spacing

you can always call trail worthy fab and have them make you a set with the correct back spacing and 6 bolt pattern.
Mohawk dave runs 37's on his m1009 with stock axles. he might be more of a help.

yeah I know just though this may be more cost effective. I know I can find a set of 16.5 on summit too that i can just mount tires on

The larger tires will help your axles break easier if you have plans on doing some offroading with her. Probably not much of a concern for everyday driving but you may break some internals in the mud under the right conditions.
