Went to Red River depot at Hooks, TX yesterday to preview the M35A2's they have on current auction. 100 mile drive for me.
Lady on phone and in office was short and to the point. Not rude, just not fun to talk to.
Yardman/Escort named Josh was real nice and let me take lot longer than the 30 minutes they said I could have. To look at 12-15 trucks, 30 minutes is not long enough!
Good thing I went and did an inspection because trucks I picked as good choices from GL website were all pieces of junk!
Two M35A2C Air Force trucks looked good but one had main drive shaft off and loose in bed of truck. Other one had all the electrical switches pulled out.
All trucks with winches were worn out real bad with none having battery power.
Approx. half of trucks had brake pedals that fell to floor when touched.
Only three trucks had power and started right up at push of button!
Overall, no trucks were wrecked or had bad rust or damage. All had some kind of top, few had no troop seats.
Only one truck had really bad tires, others ranged from new to 1/4 tread left.
I picked two trucks and a M105 trailer to bid on.
If you want info on truck send me the Lot no. and I will reply back. I wrote down condition of every M35A2 truck there.
Wish me luck!
