how many CUCVs produced

Anybody have an idea of how many CUCVs were produced? How many do you think are left in the US? seems to be a large purge from the inventory at the moment.

A retired GM engineer told me that there were 88,000 CUCV series trucks
which includes all models totaled together.
This was back in 1996 before he retired.

I saw a parking lot full of General Lee's in Tennessee when I was a kid, had to be 100+. Broke my little heart .

so what maybe 30k left in the states ? I know we gave/sold many overseas and many have been scrapped. I think most are being eliminated form service now.

Many 1008's are sold to Central/South America, for those guys that have a export licence.
