Probably the best life "extender" is having something in your life that makes you think, challenges you and feeds a passion. At least that is my experience at 65. Its great to go to the workshop and be able to choose what to play with today. I think if I did not have that I would find it hard to get out of bed. Of course, having the support of your family and friends helps a lot too. Don't much care to hear "take it easy, slow down, remember your retired now". Whats great about retired is you can set your own pace and change what your doing to suit your energy level and interest.
Also, nothing like women and kids to keep you busy and challenged. Hahahaha! Having a hobby to escape to recharges the old battery. I would love to have an LMTV. or an M37, old flat fender dodge etc etc,
