Hi All

Been reading through the various threads about members New To Them MVs and it started me thinking how old are these MVs when they enter the hobby? The trucks not the people. Has the age of MVs when they are surplussed gotten younger or older?

Lets keep the responses simple - Vehicle, year built, year you got it, truck age?

Cheers Phil

Gone in a long time storage of 15 Years in 2005 with 165000 Miles. Between 1996 und 2005 daily in Use. Got a complete technical overhaul in 2020 for come up on the road again. Still waiting on the bodywork and finish.

In runing condition has the Truck now an increase in value of 420% to the price we had payed in 1996 and which we could got today if we would sold the Truck in Germany.

I'll add mine.

AM General M35A3, S/N 500246

Built 1995
Spent time with Company B 316th Adjutant General at WYT5Y4 (not sure where that was), R/N PS220
Auctioned from Fort Drum in August 2010
First private owner sold it in November 2010
Second private owner sold it to me in October 2019

Although the truck was built from recycled M35s, the ID tags on it say it's 26 years old.

My M936 is a 1984. I am not certain, but I think I am the third possibly 4th owner since the Gov auctioned it off.
That makes her 37 years old. I could say my truck is just as cute as a button, but that doesn't really compute
