The original trucks were OD with the registration number on each side of the hood. This was later discontinued with CAMO paint. Many deuces have the registration number stenciled on the inside of the doors. You can also look on the data plate which should have the VIN and registration. Make sure you don't confuse the two. It is also stamped on the side of the frame behind the left front wheel, along with the VIN, but is often covered with undercoating which would need to be scraped away.
