How to post a general question

I'm trying to post a general question that will pop up in the "New Post" area but I can't seem to locate the "New Thread" button. What am I missing. Thanks

Go to a specific forum and you should see the start a new thread option.

You just did it! All the posts made will pop up in the new post section. Just pick the correct area and let 'er fly!
