How to Remove Grease Cap

Ok, I tried screwdriver, pipe wrench, big channel lock pliers... how am I supposed to take off the grease cap?

Having personally never taken one off; I guarantee there's an exploded view in the manual. (What thype trailer?)

It's an m1101, and the usually helpful TM says simply, "remove grease cap" when it describes how to remove the hub.

If its like normal trailer axles, it should just pop out with a hard hit from a screwdriver and hammer

I shows an exploded view, with very vague directions.

Look at the parts diagrams, not the how-to.

You need a thin blade to get behind the head of the mushroom style cap.
Use a good knife or a wide wood chisel. They are the same type as the 101A2 uses.

4 lb. hammer + 3/4" cold chisel to be exact!
