How to test led blackouts

Just picked up a 101a2 from GL with the military LED tail lights. I switched the bulbs to 12v at the lot but could not get the LED blackouts to work with my 1028.

The blackouts work find on my other 101a2 with standard bulbs but not this trailer.

is there a way to test the led? I havent traced the wires to the back yet.

I have power to the tail lights. only have 1 brake blackout light.
