Hub swap so i can use a set of m1009 rims on my m101a2.

You will have to replace the axle. Most trailer shops or on the internet you can order a custom axle and hub set up.

M101A2 has 8 on 6.5 pattern
M1009 has a 6 on 5.5 pattern
M101A2 has Dexter axles that you should be able to get new hub / drum sets for
easy enough to do

Would this hub work? It appears to use the same bearings.

I have a M1009 and it would be nice to just carry one spare tire instead of two.
Anyone know if a 12x2 drum would work?

After talking to etrailer tech, turns out that hub will not work. They have bearings and races at a nice price, but no hub that will work. So I'm gong to see where I can attach an 8 lug spare so it's out of the way on my M116a2 trailer.
