X-Door Spring Hardware Revival
While my window frames were drying I decided to see what I could do about the rusty spring hardware for the window slider knob. While I was at the store, grabbed some Vinegar and submerged the parts in a 50/50 mix for 24hrs. Parts are like brand new again.

X Door Reconditioning
Finally got around to getting my passenger side x doors done. Not only did they get a full repaint with Rapco 383 but they received new weather seals, door latches, outer weatherstripping, hardware, added rubber seal around window frame and lastly new locking door handles. Overall very happy with the results and well worth the time and effort.

You’re doing a great job on your HMMWV resto-mod. Keep it up! Please add your vehicle info to your signature so everyone can easily see what you’re working on. Thanks for using the forum photo attachment feature versus a photo linking service. It is a bit of a PITA, but as was previously mentioned, the attached photos will be retained here forever.
