Humvee Air Vent Demil Question

So, this is a little question I got. I know there's a lot of stuff that gets removed doing demil that's harmless like the fording kit, but why in any world do they take out the air vents like the one in this picture. The one I won got the same thing removed, but its quite hidden in the pictures that govplanet took. I notice quite a few humvees come like this on govplanet, but why is this a must for some humvees doing demil?

Yea, its the part were the radio bracket attaches, but why they take out the vents with it too, it looks like they grind the whole thing off instead of unscrewing the bracket which seems easier

That duct piece is a bit time consuming to remove. ....and then 1/2 of the 7-9 rusty screws will break off preventing the duct from coming out. Then they would cut it anyways.

Yup. On my small phone, the bracket shadow makes the duct look cut.
