It looks like it would have clearance issues with anything but stock wheels/tires.

I didn't see a 5 ton pump or any other pump on the front. Where is it, anybody? P.S. This might shoulda been added to one of the many existing power steering threads..

Pump is above the alternator.

Doesn't seem like there is enough belt on the alt pulley if you ask me.

Glad someone is making some profess in this field. But not being able to run bigger tires would be a problem for me.

There are MANY kits out there, just not very affordable, or have big trade offs like this one.

There are better ways to add PS. There is a kit out there that works just like the air-assist only it's hyd. I tried to finding the link but came up empty. When I checked it was kind of pricey but required the least amount of modification to make it work.

5 ton steering box . I had one to install on mine , way too big and limited steering to the right . Plenty STRONG enough , just way too big for the 2 1/2 ton.

I have put semi boxes on a few with a multi fuel pump. They work great. I have about $700. in them when done.

Garrison Manufacturing as listed earlier in the thread makes a hyd kit that works just like the air assist only hyd.

The best I have seen is the "Gringletaube" design retrofit box. Also there are a few full hydro trucks out there, as well as a hydraulic ram assist that sticks an orbital valve on the steering shaft and a ram on the centerlink.

Didn't one of the big guys have a kit out as well... Saturn or Eastern? It hit a couple months ago, I believe.
