NC I am thinking about buying a Humvee

and am wondering how hard it is to get insurance for it in NC. Are there certain companies or will all of them insure it? Thanks in advance.

Progressive and Hagerty will no problem. Any other provider must give you liability if you can get a plate. That's what my agent at Farm Bureau told me. I went with Progressive. Easier and cheaper and full coverage.
