I need some axle advice

So I have been tracking down air leaks and when I flip the switch to engage the lockers there is an air leak at the breather tube on the driver front axle....my first thought was air is escaping thru the locker but when I took off the smaller tube that engages it, I found air pressure is coming from the larger hose into the axle. I thought this was a breather. Am I wrong on this? I do not want to take this axle apart if it is not necessary. The locker does engage when air pressure is introduced in the smaller opening. Thanks

If I remember correctly, there is a pressure regulator that puts a few psi of air into the axles when all lockers are engaged. This is to pressurize the axles during fording so water doesn’t leak in. What you were observing may be normal, check the manual to be sure.
