I have seen them too in units but never saw them in use they extend pretty high and are pretty cool the way they crank up and down.

It looks alot like a zero instead of a G.
Firefighter294, the ones at Ontario surplus looks exactly like the one i've got. They seem way overengineered for three spotlights. but then again maybe it has a wind loading of 500mph
.

I think the ones I saw belonged to the Engineers so spotlights are a good ID. They are pretty remarkable what did you pay to get yours?

That is the tower for a three light floodlight set. Two towers, each with three lights and a 5KW genset made up the complete unit.
Ontario surplus sell the towers to ham operators for their antennas.

I plan on using it for a portable ham tower. I think I paid 300 for it.
