hey guys I just fond out that Shell makes A GL-1 gear oil for automotive and heavy duty equipment transmission and differentials where an EP (extreme pressure) lubricant is not required and where an API Service Designation GL-1 gear oil is specifically called for by the equipment manufacturer its called Shell Dentax gear oil hears a link

Man Jed, you must have been reading my mind. I've been having a hard time finding it in larger qty other than 1 qt. cans at $6.50-$7.00 a qt.

I'll have to see if they have a distributor near me.
